BIG NEWS: I (Ms. Rauser) will be having a baby on Valentines Day-ish! My family and I are very excited about this news. It does sadden me though that I will not be teaching the entire year but rest assured we will find an amazing teacher to fill my spot for the remainder of the year. The plan is to work into the new year and as close to February as possible! Until then we have many exciting plans for your students in both Mrs. Cooper's and my class.
Ms. Rauser's class started home reading yesterday. Students are asked to keep their home reading books in their communication folders to go back and forth between school and home everyday. There are tips on the communication folder to help students have success with home reading. Students are asked to read their home reading book for 15-20 minutes everyday. Students can also read other books from home and the library. Once we have passwords set up for Raz Kids, students can use it part of home reading.
Mrs. Cooper's class is still looking for a parent volunteer to help with the home reading program. If you can help out please let Mrs. Cooper know. (cacooper@cbe.ab.ca)
The students enjoyed our hot dog picnic lunch today. A big thank you to all our wonderful parent volunteers that helped out with this. It was a great day for the The Terry Fox run and the students showed great support by running and bringing in donations. Thank you!
Congratulations! Jackson p.
