We had a wonderful Friday and were thankful to have a sunny day for our Welcome Back Breakfast. A big thank you to our Parent Council and parent volunteers for providing all the students with yummy muffins and cheese strings.
Our students started the day with a spelling assessment that will help Ms. Rauser and Mrs. Cooper provide word work and small group work to improve spelling skills.
Following our spelling work, we continued to work on our writing If everybody in the classroom.... We are ready to move onto another writing project on Monday so a few students need to bring home their journal to complete the writing for Monday. If your child needs to complete their work, there will be a red journal in their communication folder. Please see below for the assignment that they were given.

Students were asked to do two positive and two negative behaviors for each frame sentence.
Ms. Rauser introduced our students to our Art journals and we used a sponge painting technique to start our first pages.
The day flew by quickly and we only had a few minutes to read our novel at the end of the day but we are getting excited to find out what will happen next in the story.
