Ms. Rauser introduced us to an art project that we worked on for a good part of our morning. We are designing a cover for our art journals using definitions and pictures to begin our inquiry work. Ms. Rauser taught us how to use watercolor pencils and we started to practice the techniques she modeled for us. Once we have completed the cover for our art journal we will be looking for some parent volunteers to help out with taping them to the front of our art journals. It's a time consuming process so the more volunteers we get the easier it will be to get them done!
We are also looking for a parent volunteer from each class to help out with home reading. Home reading volunteering involves coming in one day a week to read with the students and to help keep track of books coming and going. It takes a little over an hour to get through a whole class. If you are interested in helping out with this, please contact Mrs. Cooper or Ms. Rauser.
Ms. Rauser's class had gym and Mrs. Cooper's class had their first choir class.
Student's loved hearing about the new discoveries that occurred in our novel read of 'Fablehaven'. Ask you child what the character Kendra and her brother Seth have been up to!
Have a great weekend!
