Our whole school is contributing to a bulletin board so we worked on our contribution to it.  Students each traced and decorated both of their hands and then as a whole group we brainstormed to complete the sentence:

I am one person but with my two hands I can__________________________________.

As part of our discussion about what we can do to make a difference in our school we read the book Anything is Possible.  This great book led us into a discussion about how working together and with persistence, we can accomplish our goals and dreams.  

Both of our classes had dance and music today.

Scholastic book forms are going home in your child's folder today.  These book orders are an excellent way to build your child's home library.  September book orders are due September 29th.  Please pay for the scholastic book orders with cheques only made out to Scholastic Canada LTD.  We can not send cash in the mail so book purchases can only be made by a cheque.  Thank you

There are 2 forms coming home today - one is for the Terry Fox and Hot Dog fundraiser and the other note is information for booking your time on Thursday September 18th for Meet the Teacher/Open House.
