Students have been asked to bring home their "Getting to Know Me" writing to complete and edit at home. We have the computers booked for Wednesday and Thursday so that students can do the good copy on the computer. Students are asked to follow the below process for editing their writing:
1. Read the story out loud to make sure it makes sense and has enough detail.
2. Read it again finding and fixing spelling errors.
3. Read it again to check to make sure uppercase and lowercase letters are correct.
4. Read it one more time to check for punctuation.
Students are encouraged to ask their parents to help with the editing process.
Tomorrow is the Terry Fox Run and hot dog picnic. Students are asked to wear comfortable clothes for running and to bring a blanket or towel to sit on for the picnic. Parents are welcome to join us for the run at 2pm. Please remember to bring in any money that you have fundraised for the Terry Fox Run.
In math, the students continued to be challenged to solve some problems. We talked about some strategies that we can use to solve the problem that we started yesterday. Please remember to check out Mathletics with the password taped inside your folder.
I won't be able to run because I have a really bad smokers cough.
