Picture Day -> OCTOBER 7th, 2014!! 
Check your child's folder for the specific background and pose choices. Please fill out and return this small sheet prior to picture day. 

Today our school had a Terry Fox assembly in the morning. Students learned about this famous Canadian figure and the difference he made and continues to make in his absence today for Cancer research. A fact sheet is coming home with each student. On the back of this sheet is a pledge form. IF you would like to participate, please use this form to record pledges and any funds donated. All donations will go directly to cancer research. Our school has set up a GIGANTIC jar in the front office. If students come to school with cash pledges they will have the opportunity to bring this pledge to the office and drop if off in this jar. 
Our Terry Fox run will be held next week on WEDNESDAY in the afternoon. We are inviting families to come and join us for the run to the windmill and back if they are able to make it. The school will also be having a school picnic for students. During this time hotdogs that were purchased for our Terry Fox Fundraising lunch will be handed out to those that have purchased lunch. For students who choose NOT to purchase a hotdog...please send your child to school with a suitable snack they can eat outside for this picnic.  
**Students are invited to bring a small towel or blanket for them to picnic on outside next wednesday.

Each child set a couple goals for themselves on IRIS in regards to their learning and work habits. Check out your child's IRIS page to see what they think they personally need to work on and the strategy they have come up with to help them succeed with their goal! 
IRIS can be accessed directly through our school website (there is an IRIS icon on the left hand side). Students will need their school ID number in order to log into their IRIS page. This has been written on a label and put into your child's home communication folder.  The password is the last 4 digits of their school ID number.  

There is a STUDENT VERIFICATION REPORT in your child's folder. Parents please check this sheet to ensure the school has accurate information for your family and child on file. Any changes please make directly on the form. If everything is correct...please indicate this as well and return it tomorrow or bring it to Meet the Teacher.  Thanks so much!
