PARENTS IN MS. RAUSER'S CLASS: 
There was a small ziplock bag found on the floor with some money in it but the students do not seem to know to whom it belongs. Students take out their 'home communication folder' in the morning and put it in our basket. We are thinking that it fell out when it was taken out of a backpack this morning. IF you sent your child to school with a small ziplock bag with money in it....please email Ms. Rauser (cerauser@cbe.ab.ca) and verify the amount that was sent so that we can apply it to the rightful student. Thanks so much!!! 

Students have been learning about team work and cooperation in phys.ed. Mr. McDougall has been teaching the students a variety of games to encourage and develop these important skills. Ask your child what they have been doing with hula-hoops and today with 2-3 balls! 

We finished off our wonders and questions that we had from the books and pictures we have been looking at in class. Students re-visited the specific books and pictures that had interested them and had inspired wonders. We will now look at grouping students according to their interests and questions and begin they will soon begin looking into their big questions. 

In our class novel that we are reading...our main characters did something AGAIN today that they were not allowed to do. Ask your child what happened to 'Kendra and Seth' in our book Fablehaven.

We are continuing to get to know each of your children really well to meet their individual needs in all subject areas. In math today, students did a small 'show what you know' activity to help us see where they are at with their number concepts. We will begin our math groups hopefully near the end of the week according to student needs in this area.

Our students were fabulous during Daily 5 today and we successfully did 'Read to Self' for 20 minutes and 'Buddy Read' for 15 minutes.  Amazing group of readers!!
